There are literally hundreds of clubs across the United States that call themselves the Romeo's. The groups might have a different purpose and a variety of activities, but usually they are retired or semi-retired men having a good time. We would like to provide a meeting place on the web for these groups to exchange ideas and promote their club and its activities.

Our mission statement:
Our organization will preserve and promote the ROMEO CLUB to future generations beyond the founding generation, the Greatest Generation which is the worldwide generation of Allies that served in World War II. This group overlaps with the G.I. Generation, the generation of veterans that fought and won World War II, later to become the Establishment, and the parents of children who would later become the Baby Boomers (1901-1924). The term Romeo is defined by Wikipedia Organization as follows:
ROMEO: Retired Old Men Eating Out. A simple acronym which helps tell a very big story. The acronym is commonly credited to Tom Brokaw in his 1998 book The Greatest Generation (Thanks G Thompson), although the term and the custom surrounding the concept of 'Retired Old Men Eating Out' (alternatively Rich or Respectable Old Men Eating Out, or Enjoying Outings) seems to pre-date this, indeed a growing 'Romeo Club' sub-culture exists in the US and is bound to increase and spread in one form or another everywhere given demographic projections (many people living longer, getting richer, and being more active and useful in later years). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_generations#List_of_generations

The Romeo Club funds its activities and website from donations from its charter member chapters and affiliate sponsors. We ask that they make an initial donation when their chapters’ webpage is published and make a yearly update to their page information and a corresponding donation to help defray the operating cost of the organization.
